Abby's Walking

This has been a long time coming but I think we are on the verge of having a walker on our hands! It seems our several therapy sessions a week, along with coaxing from our neighbors kiddos, and lots of practice at home is starting to pay off. Abby is taking steps on her own and I couldn't be more excited to share the video with everyone. We are so excited about mommys upcoming break from school, and even more excited that we have no plans to travel! Love to all, and enjoy the video.

This was on at Abby's second birthday, we had a Hawian theme, it looks like she actually took a bite of the cup cake. Later pictures would reveal that she actually through it on the floor. This is what my grandma gave me, No, I'm not spoiled!
Me and Daddy floatin in the pool!

Playing baby shower games at Aunt Jess's shower, can't wait to meet baby Bently.

Here I am getting fitted for my first set of AFO's

This first pic was at Celissa's birthday party in May, Preston was introducing her to one of her loves, the moonwalk!
This was at Auntie Lauras house, she was getting dressed up in animal print and bling to go to a bachellorette party and Abby fellt she should dress up to.
This was at Easter, the bunny matched her dress perfectly. Auntie Laura brought over Max, her black bunny and Abby loved taking pictures with him. The carrot was supposed to be for Max.

This was at the Zoo, in March. She loves petting and brushing the goats!

Love to All

I know it has been awhile, I have missed updating on so much! We have had so much going on lately that I would love to post pictures of. One very exciting thing is that Abby has started Little Gym classes, she is in with a group of 10-19 month olds and she absolutly loves it! She is getting great interaction and learning skills that will hopefully stay with her. She is on the verge of walking, however not walking has not slowed her at all. She is all over the place and we love following her in where ever she chooses to go next. We had a busy year, with a mostly healthy Abby, she did need to get a second set of tubes and she had her adenoids removed, she has gotten a severe UTI (she is at higher risk with her Renal Reflux), she had two pretty bad stomach bugs which landed us for over night stays at hotel TCH, and a handful of Viral and Ear infections. This being said she is such an amazing chickie! She is now down to only 3 bottles, one at 4:30 am, one before nap, and one before bed. She is eating primarily purees, but we have gone from just sweet potatos to sweet potatos and turkey, oatmeal, blueberries and applesauce, apples and chicken, chicken noodle soup, turkey rice and veggies, and lots of yogurt. She still eats puffs by the handful, and we are starting to work on Teddy Grahms. She loves to play with our food but has no desire to eat any herself. Her new love is drinking mommy and daddy's drink, it doesnt matter what we have in our cup, she could have the same thing in her cup, but she wants ours. Abby is really focusing on her therapies, she has 3 hours of PT, OT, and Speech a week. We continue to see steady progress and thats all we can ask. She truely amazes us all everyday. She has gotten her second set of AFO's (braces), she looks so cute in them and doesn't seem to mind them. We spent this Thanksgiving in Abilene visiting Joshs family, unfortuneatly Abby got pretty sick and spent part of Thursday in the ER at the local hospital. She was treated for Croup, hopefully it won't be a sign of how this winter will be. I am just a little concerned, Abby will not be getting her Synagis this year, they say the cuttoff is two years old. I will try to post pictures from the last few months to help everyone catch up. I will also try to be more diligant about updating.

Zoo trip, 3-6-10

Yesterday we decided to pack up and join what seemed like half the city of Houston at the zoo. It was so much fun, Abby wasn't quite as interested in the animals as we were, but she loved the rides in her waggon. She was held most of the time because it was easier for her to see the animals that way. She did so well and even took time for a snack. Eating has been a struggle for Abby, however we are making big strides. She ate yogurt while we sat by the pond. She tried to crawl through the tunnel which she seemed to enjoy, she likes to look at the pretty fish. We are thinking about getting her a fishy for a pet, just an idea we are thinking of. We got some great pictures, enjoy and love to all!

IMH Walk 2-20-2010

We had a great team show up for the It's My Heart walk on Saturday, we are so thankful to have such supportive friends and family. Thanks to everyone who signed up to walk, or donated. We were so lucky to have my Aunt Jan and Uncle Rick from Michigan drive down to join us, it was great to spend the weekend with them. We also had Josh's sister Jessica and her family and his mom and her husband who made the trip from Abilene to show their support. We love when we get to visit, but we all agree that we need to meet up when we don't have big plans so that we can just enjoy each others company.

First Hair Cut

2-12-2010 We took Abby to Sweet and Sassy Salon to get her first hair cut, she did great and loved the hair dryer.
